Why Do We Use Algebra?

September 6th, 2009

Algebra is one of the most significant courses pupils study during their life. There are a lot of pupils who are doing algebra because they have troubles being able to study the subject.

A lot of people are not even truly sure what is included in algebra but it is not terrifying as a lot of individuals think. Some of the primary functions of algebra include finding least common multiple , factoring difference of cubes and reducing fractions.

When mathematics is leaned by pupils, especially at college stage it is very significant for them to employ some planning and also some continuity in learning mathematical concepts from easy to hard ones. There are a lot of college mathematics courses at beginning stage that are built-up around establishing a healthy path for the road into higher mathematics as they enable learning the fundamental skills that are required.

Who offers assistance?

For aiding you in mastering algebra, there is a number of software programs and these include systems such as algebra calculators. It is also possible to get a math tutor if you are really unsure about your algebra skills. The software packages are very good and will help you with all aspects of algebra including quadratic inequalities , graphing radical equations, adding fractions with different denominators and on master the basic and more complex topics of algebra.

If you start learning maths from the beginning, it is a good idea to do one of the introductory stage courses as they will teach you the very fundamental principles and build on that so that you are able to get up to the more sophisticated stage of mathematics. The beginning courses of study also teach you the science of algebra through the use of a large number of different examples and methods so this is a perfect beginning point for the beginner to algebra.

Why Virtual Tutors are Not Perfect?

The only problem with maths courses of study is that they sometimes do not follow things in a very logical order and this particularly is the case when you are a pupil at grade school. A lot of the students at school are actually very ill-prepared for learning algebra and they do not truly have no background knowledge in it.

Can You Benefit from Algebra?

Algebra - what is it?

It is an area of mathematics that use letter of the alphabets instead of numbers to derive results for a given situation. It is this abstraction that often frightens many and shudders some. topics of algebra range by working through simple tasks such as factoring polynomials and eventually progressing on to finding the product of matrices. In many cases, just as in any other maths oriented class, students start off by adding, subtracting and simplifying algebraic expressions . later on, they would move on to more advanced stages of solving algebraic equations using the greatest common factors and converting fractions in to decimals.

Exponents and Radicals and Graphing Oh My!

There are numerous higher level subjects. First there are exponents. An exponent is the small number placed as superscript to a number or algebraic expression. In this example (x + y)3 where the 3 is the power and denotes the power to which that number is raised. The above algebraic expression is read as, x plus y to the third power. While working with powers you will frequently come across exercises that require you to add, subtract, multiply and divide. If you pick up the basics, you will soon start working with rational and negative exponents and if you think those are not challenging enough, hopefully radicals will spin your head. A radical, in simple terms, is the reversing of an power. The V beside 4 denote a radical expression which means, the square root of 4, which equals 2. The inverse exponential equation is 2^2 which is read, 2 to the 2nd power, and equals 4. As with exponents, radical expressions can be added, subtracted, multiplied and divided. Radicals can be changed into exponents and exponents back into roots. If exponents and roots aren’t enough, there is always graphing. Start with graphing straight lines and determining if the line is horizontal or vertical or neither. Does the line have an x-intercept or a y-intercept? Furthermore, try and see if you can find the slope of a line. you master the mathematical art of graphing, you will find out a whole new world full of parabolas and hyperbolas.

Help is Available

If you are learning algebra and this all seems a little too much, don’t sweat. It’s time to look around because there exists a wide array of resources that is able to help you master the topic. Look for math tutors or software applications that will walk you through gradual process on how to solve any problem. You can also use algebra calculators or algebra solvers. any of these tools can assist you become an algebra expert in no time.

Keep Your Credit History Clean - Remove A Negative Credit Record From Credit Report

May 8th, 2008

The three major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax and Trans Union are similar and feature a “Credit Score”, which is created from credit report data submitted to them about you.

But very often your credit report includes inaccurate, wrong or incomplete information (credit records).

In this situation you have to prepare and send letters to each of the credit bureaus. Also learn your credit rights by familiarizing yourself with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

The FCRA gives you the right to dispute inaccuracies or omissions, and it requires credit bureaus to investigate your complaint (generally within 30 days), send you a prompt response and correct any errors. The law also requires the source of inaccurate information (such as a bank) to correct the record at the credit bureaus to which it initially provided the erroneous information.

Consumers working on their credit reports say many times their letters are ignored by the credit bureaus. Consumer’s say even with proof a credit record is not theirs; its removal from their credit report can take three or four challenge letters, because the credit bureaus may have only verified it in their computers and not on the credit report.

Send your dispute letter by CERTIFIED RETURN RECEIPT MAIL. This should not be done with the first attempt.

Keep a record of when you sent the dispute letters and what date you should expect a response.

If you have received no answer to your dispute after 30 to 37 days, send a certified return receipt letter requesting an updated credit report demanding the disputed credit record be deleted.

If the bureaus do not reply within the 30 days, it must be that the information was either inaccurate, or it could not be verified. In either case, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the credit record must be immediately deleted from credit report.

Some consumers have eliminated negative marks on credit reports simply by going through this process of disputing credit records several times. Since some creditors will not take the time to respond, you may be able to win by default.

In addition, some consumers working on their credit report have seen another negative credit record or two disappeared. Usually some progress is made each time you challenge. Remember, the credit bureau would like you to quit bothering them because if you aren’t disputing the credit report, they can legally continue selling it as profitable information.

Your credit score is important for obtaining credit. Your credit score is important to know, whether you need a new credit card, an auto loan, or a mortgage. Lenders use your credit scores to decide whether you are a good credit risk. If you have a high credit score, you are more likely to obtain the best rates.

Wolpoff & Abramson Defense

May 1st, 2008

If you have a MBNA credit card in default or if you are receiving dunning letters or if you are you being sued by Wolpoff & Abramson, you may have a defense to the lawsuit and/or a claim against them.

Wolpoff & Abramson, LLP is a large national law firm of approximately 850 employees, in the practice of debt collection for large national retail and banking clients.

Since the National Arbitration Forum is a division and/or wholly owned subsidiary of Wolpoff & Abramson, any arbitration by the National Arbitration Forum is an absolute conflict of interest and can not be legally considered independent, neutral and impartial third party in arbitration. Any decision would be immediately be null and void under the federal arbitration act presuming there was an actual agreement between the parties to arbitrate a matter which there is none.

Consumer advocate and credit/debt expert Bud Hibbs has ranks Wolpoff as the 7th worst debt collection agency in the United States.

Just because a Wolpoff & Abramson, sues you does not mean that they are automatically entitled to a judgment. They still have to prove their case, and you can have a trial, even a jury trial. The key is to answer the lawsuit in a timely manner. If you answer in time you can successfully defend your case. You may win, and have a judgment in your favor entered stating that you owe nothing.

Consumers can choose not to contract with Wolpoff & Abramson in accordance with Hale vs. Henkel, 201 U.S. 43 (1906) and can reject any and/or all correspondence, claims, or any other documents implying they have contracted with them in any manner, shape or form.

Any arbitration conducted by National Arbitration Forum in violation of any of the laws, statutes, acts, codes, rules, listed below, constitutes a willful and intentional commercial injury to the consumer where the National Arbitration Forum is legally liable for.

The National Arbitration Forum cannot provide proof that the alleged “claim” is in compliance with the Code as filed and said “claim”, as filed, further lacks several key elements required by law as follows:

National Arbitration Forum Rules:

1. Rule 1 of the Code states that both parties agree to arbitrate.

2. Rule 2A(2) of the Code requires that the initial claim shall include: a copy of the arbitration agreement or notice of the location of a copy of the arbitration agreement;

3. Rule 12A(3) of the Code requires a copy of documents that support the claim;

4. Rule 12A(4) of the Code requires an affidavit asserting that statements and documents in the claim are accurate;

5. Rule 12A(5) of the Code requires that the appropriate filling fee be paid;

6. Rule 12B of the code requires that claimant promptly file with the forum proof of service of the initial claim on the respondent;

7. Rule 20A of the Code indicates that the arbitrator have powers provided by the code, the agreement of the parties and the applicable substantive law;

8. Rule 20C of the Code indicates that the arbitrators do NOT have the power to decide matters NOT properly submitted under this code.

For the reasons stated above, any claims submitted to the National Arbitration Forum should be deemed frivolous due to the claimants numerous violations of the code and should be dismissed involuntarily pursuant to Rule 41 of the Code. This, of course, is in addition to all of the other violations of laws, acts, statutes, codes, doctrines, maxims of law and available case law.

Liability:

A lawsuit can be brought against Wolpoff & Abramson for willful and intentional fraud and racketeering which will be prosecuted for treble damages for commercial injury pursuant to racketeering under Title 18, Chapter 96 of the U. S. Code.

Credit Repair Services vs. ‘Do-It-Yourself’ Credit Repair

April 24th, 2008

Millions of Americans suffer because of bad credit these days, and almost all of these people turn to the Internet for help. In the past 5 years hundreds of ‘internet-based’ credit repair services have sprung up, preying on consumers in need of real help. Most of these companies have built less than desirable reputations by over-promising and under-delivering; all the while taking millions of dollars from those in need.

For this week’s article I am going to compare ‘internet based’ credit repair services to repairing your credit yourself using a system like Loan Saver PRO: The One Hour Credit Repair System. Hopefully I will open your eyes to the fact that you can do everything they can do, for far less money, and achieve even better results in far less time.

Cost Comparison

Credit Repair Service - Almost every credit repair company found on the internet charges a set-up fee of at least $60 and an ongoing monthly fee of at least $49. They initially tell you that your credit repair work will probably take around 3 months to complete. In reality, your credit repair work ends up taking close to a year or more and now you’ve paid them at least $600. The goal of most credit repair services is to take their time repairing your credit so they can keep debiting your bank account.

Do-It Yourself Credit Repair - There are several ‘do-it-yourself’ credit repair systems found on the internet. Most of these systems cost no more than $40, which is less than the set-up fees for most credit repair services, plus there is no monthly fee. Some of these products are good and some are badwhichever one you choose, don’t use a ‘do-it-yourself’ system that uses ‘pre-made’ letters to launch disputes; I’ll explain this in more detail below.

Dispute Letters

Credit Repair Service - Almost every ‘internet based’ credit repair service, and some ‘do-it-yourself’ credit repair systems, use ‘pre-made’ attorney letters to dispute information on your credit report. Using these types of letters often raises major red flags at the credit bureau level and may result in your dispute request being denied. How do you know if your dispute has been denied? You’ll know when you receive a ‘Will Not Take Action’ letter from the credit bureaus.

Do-It Yourself Credit Repair - There are two primary ways you can dispute negative items on your credit report. One way is to write several original letters to the credit bureaus, which can take several hours to complete and adds weeks onto the credit repair process.

The second and easiest way to dispute negative items on your credit report, is to launch your disputes online. The credit repair system that I helped develop, Loan Saver PRO, shows you step-by-step how to order the right credit reports (yes, there are some wrong ones), launch effective online disputes, and manage the whole credit repair process.

Results

Credit Repair Service - To get your scores into the 800’s would take over 10 years of perfect credit, so don’t believe it. ‘Internet based’ credit repair services will also try to tell you where your score will be in 30-60 days and that’s impossible to predict. Also, any credit repair service that promotes pipe dreams of a new car and a new house is not to be trusted; unless of course they plan on loaning you the down payment.

Do-It Yourself Credit Repair - A reputable ‘do-it-yourself’ credit repair system should never promise a certain score. However, I will promise that if you decide to use a reputable ‘do-it-yourself’ credit repair system, and are patient, your scores will increase significantly. On average, I have seen the Loan Saver PRO credit repair system raise scores into the high 600’s and low 700’s. With those scores, you can likely get any loan or credit card you desire, and at the best rates possible.

Again, I hope the above information will help you make a better decision when deciding what to do regarding your credit situation. If you still decide to work with an ‘internet based’ credit repair service, make sure you do your research, and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Rewards Cards: Redeem Your Points!

April 21st, 2008

I wrote previously urging anyone who still has a credit card that does not give them a “reward” for using that card to convert to a rewards card or switch to a credit card provider that has a rewards program. The reason? If you are going to use a credit card you might as well get something out of the experience. Of course, a rewards card makes no sense for the person who doesn’t pay off their card every month as the interest on the card will likely offset any points accumulated. So, if you are a savvy consumer who lives debt free you can accumulate points quickly and get some nifty stuff. Let’s take a look at one plan and how to make it work for you.

Alright, I am not going to reveal this particular provider’s name. However, I will tell you something about the program. If you spend a dollar on mostly anything, you accumulate a point. It is that easy. Moreover, this particular provider is automatically bestowing 500 points on new users for just using the card once within the first 90 days. Not bad, especially when you only need 2000 points to qualify for merchandise, cash credit, or travel.

I realize rewards programs vary and this particular one allows for users to accumulate an unlimited amount of points per year. You must, however, redeem them within five years or start to watch points drop off.

So, just what can you get with only 2000 points? Here are some examples:

  • A $15 Pizza Hut gift card or gift cards from one of four other retailers.

  • Sony Open Air Headphones.

    What’s more is that you can see your points add up for even bigger and better prizes. Here are some examples:

  • At 5000 points you can receive a $50 Hertz certificate.

  • At 10,000 points you are eligible for a free night’s stay on a weekend night at a Wyndham Hotel.

  • For 20,000 points you can get a $200 cash rebate on your credit card balance.

  • For 50,000 points you can get a $1000 cash rebate or merchandise including Sony’s Home Theatre in a box.

    Point levels peak at 225,000 - you get a Bose Lifestyle 28 Series II DVD Home Entertainment System at this level - and you can redeem all or some of your points at any time. Generally there are no fees involved except on some travel related items. Everything is clearly outlined in a little redemption catalog the credit card provider sends out to all members and online or monthly specials are listed on their website for special or limited time redemption opportunities. You can redeem your points online or over the phone.

    As you can see, the points can add up to some very useful rewards. I only listed one per category as there are literally hundreds of choices [and many different point levels] from which you can make your selection.

    Not a bad way to reward yourself and at no cost to you. Shop around for the rewards program that fits your lifestyle and watch your points accumulate rapidly for rewards that are simply fun to redeem!
