In What Mode Do You Focus Best? Part Two
September 2nd, 2010In What Mode Do You Focus Best? Part 2 By B. Butler After watching preflop as other players act and respond to their poker cards, it is important to continue to watch poker players as the flop comes, where their eyes go, whether they seem to like it or not, etc. Often players who hit a flop extra hard are known to look down immediately at their own chips, as if to see how much they can get when they double up. Online play obviously removes this level but this doesn’t mean that there is no value in watching action before it gets to you. Does a player slow down and let his time tick off before he moves? Is he not paying attention or is there a fault in his connection? Sometimes players are more likely to fold middling hands when their time is messed with, as they are away from the computer, and thus might only hurry to play bigger hands. Focusing thereafter, whether live or online, on the way the action comes before it gets to you rather than thinking about your own moves is vital. If you are too focused on the fact that you like your hand at Everest Poker, you might skew information in the way you hope it is, and pay less attention to what is actually going on.
